Meteorological Predictions

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along much of eastern Queensland this week as a atmospheric system continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.

Tomorrow was predicted as the most rainy day, with ongoing severe weather risk predicted across various areas of both states.

Medical Alert

Health officials cautioned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, particularly given the current weather patterns.

This alert comes after previous incidents where comparable situations led to major medical consequences in the region.
